HC, white enamel SS dial, KWKS (a key is included as pictured), Elson's patent double-index regulator, nickel damascene upper plate, frosted nickel balance cock, gilt dial plate, s#286096. An excellent example of this scarce watch, the "Marion Watches" book by Ehrhardt/Hanson/Meggers/Rabeneck estimates the total production of this 18 size Model 2 version of the George Channing to be 800 made.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, discolored spots below some of the jewel setting screws, few small surface spots elsewhere, some scattered fine to micro-fine scratches; excellent dial with some scattered small edge flaking in areas; excellent hands; case shows little wear, an attractive dark patina, dent to bottom-right edge of rear, mild ding to front perimeter adjacent hinge area, small nick toward lower-right of front, good overall engine turning detail with mild reduction of shoulders; tight bow, push shows medium wear; good glass crystal.
